About a month ago, October 27th, I had the pleasure of photographing Nikki and Matt’s wedding in Chehalis, WA. A destination wedding for them coming all the way from South Carolina, so not quite as far for me to travel across the state! It was so worth it for this beautiful wedding at The Barn on Jackson. We were fortunate to have some perfect weather for the girls’ photos before it rained as predicted. As you can see in the photos it did definitely rain that day, however, when looking at these it doesn’t show the downpour we worked through with the guys’ photos and the ones of just Nikki and Matt together. As stressful as rain sounds on a wedding day, Nikki was able to relax a little knowing pictures would happen no matter what! Even if the photographer had to take a shower in the rain. :) In the end the day was captured and the memories were made. It was truly a beautiful wedding with so much thought put into it. What a wonderful weekend get-a-way for all the family and friends that were able to join them. ❤️
I usually post sooner than this, but wow, what I busy fall it has been! On September 29th, I had fun capturing Colleen and Michael’s wedding at Kalispel Golf and Country Club. The Country Club more recently has set up an outdoor venue area with a tent style reception. My first wedding here since they set this up. Truly a beautiful wedding and wonderful reception site. The dinner they provided was definitely one of the highlights to this wedding. Along with their Nothing Bundt Cakes, even rainbow chip! This couple planned their wedding in just a few months and they didn’t miss a thing, so impressive!
Angela and Derek had a small intimate ceremony at their family’s beach front property on Priest Lake. It was September 22nd and fall was just starting… it turned out to be a beautiful day with sunshine. Their pups being a big part of their lives, right there with them. Their dinner was held at Cavanaugh’s. You can see by their photos it was a perfect little celebration, yet such a big day for them - joining their lives together. ❤️
Kristie and Tom were married on August 18, 20018 at her parent's home. They transformed their property into the perfect wedding venue! Kristie and Tom have a fun story of how they met. Tom was working out of town and while his boss, Nate, was chatting on FaceTime with his wife Tom noticed a pretty lady in the background. Sure enough, it was Kristie, Nate's sister-in-law, and that's where their story began. The perfect match! Their family, friends, and daughters are so happy they found each other. Congratulations you two!
My friend's baby sister got married last weekend! I photographed her senior pictures when I was just getting my business started and now it's her wedding. She also is an amazing makeup artist and she went all the way to the Oregon Coast to do my wedding makeup 10 years ago! So happy for her to have her special day and for them to start this new chapter in life. They tied the knot on the weekend of their 8 year anniversary on her uncle's property (which he'd love to do more weddings there if anyone is looking for a place... not far from downtown Spokane off of Highway 195 - let me know!). When Brett first told me she was getting married she said she wanted a simple wooded late evening wedding. It was perfect! From her dad playing his guitar walking her down the aisle to the tent set up in the backyard for their overnight stay, it was exactly what they wanted. Although they didn't need toasts and cake cutting, these traditions still happened. The cupcake surprise from Brett's sister was too funny. 💩 just got real! 😂 But seriously isn't she GORGEOUS!!!! Congratulations Brett and Eric!
Zerina and Joel were married at Commellini Estate on July 8th. A destination wedding for most being that neither of them are from Spokane, but they are attending college nearby. It was a perfect wedding and location for their close friends and family to enjoy the day with them and celebrate. Joel surprised Zerina with his guitar and song at the reception! I think it is the summer of serenading considering this was the 2nd weekend in a row I've seen this! What a special gift for Zerina. It was also so fun to hear the Bosnian music and dancing. The dance floor was nonstop, and it was great to see everyone having such a good time singing along. I don't think Zerina's grandmas sat down! Commellini's always does such a good job coordinating their events and putting the couple's needs first.
Special mentions: cake made by Zerina's friend; knitted flower centerpieces handmade by Zerina!
I'm not sure how to explain this wedding other than AHH-MAZING! Duska and Steve got married on their 5th anniversary, June 30th. The last 5 years together proved to show that they are perfect for each other. Not only them, but their daughters are so happy and now forever sisters. ❤️ Being friends with them means we've seen this transpire and couldn't be more happy for them! They were married at St. Blanche Catholic Church, which happens to be next to their home away from home, their cabin. Their reception was held at Priest Lake Golf Course. It was so fun and relaxed. The best part was Steve serenading his bride in front of everyone and it truly touched everyone that saw it. You'll have to watch the video slideshow below to get a glimpse of it. 😉 Lastly, a friend surprised them with fireworks to end the night. It couldn't get any better than this. Steve and Duska - I hope the day was everything you dreamed it would be, and more! Congrats!!!
Extra mentions: Make-up: MUAh, Cake: Madeleine's Cafe, Flowers: Amazing friend Jodie, Coordinator: Amazing friend Hilary
Mallory and Dillon were married at The Willows in Coeur d'Alene, ID on June 16th. What a great country setting for them. There was definitely rain in the forecast, so tents were set up and ready for it! Luckily most of the rain came while they got ready, with just a few showers during photos. The rest of the evening the weather was perfect for the ceremony and reception! The details put into this wedding were definitely noticeable. The thought of everything down to their personalized yard games. Most importantly these two didn't stop smiling ALL DAY. They truly couldn't help it and enjoyed every bit of their day. I love being a part of happy days like this! Congrats Mallory and Dillon, enjoy the honeymoon!
*Special thank you to Alissa Floyd for second shooting this wedding with me! If anyone every wants more than 1 photographer to cover their event I always give the option to add on an extra photographer.*
Andrea and Marcus had a beautiful ceremony in Banff, but couldn't leave it without a party in Spokane to celebrate with family and friends! The McGinnity Room downtown was the perfect location for it. Such a simple and fun get together with everyone that has been a part of their lives. I wouldn't have missed it even if you didn't want me to be the photo girl! Congrats you two!
Lindsay and Scott were married on August 12, 2017 on the Pend Oreille River in Priest River, Idaho. In the same place they got engaged even, which happens to be Lindsay's grandparent's home. It was the perfect setting! They had close family and friends there to celebrate and it was so fun and relaxed. These two were so excited! ❤️ Lindsay is a photographer as well, so I'm always honored to be chosen to capture a big day for someone that knows my job too well.

I spent last weekend at Flathead Lake in Montana for friends Raelena and Kyle's beautiful wedding. It was held in Ronan at The Silver Knot, a new and gorgeous venue there. They were able to spend a few days with so many friends and family boating, golfing and of course wedding festivities! The wedding party stayed at a B&B in Poulson called Swan Hill Bed and Breakfast. It was the perfect destination wedding and a fun vacation for all, I had a blast being part of it!
Belles on the Bluff was a beautiful location for Christine and Tony's wedding September 4th. Perfect ceremony in the grass with a modern barn reception on Greenbluff. The farm tables and benches make the perfect touch too. Beautiful bride, but Christine and Tony's son was on right up there with steeling the show... such a cutie!!! These two really had the perfect day to remember and look back on!
I had so much fun meeting and working with Kryssa and Austin last weekend during their beautiful wedding at Commellini Estates. I love how Commellini offers so many different looks all over their property, along with amazing food and staff of course! Kryssa and Austin had a day that came together perfectly. So much fun for them on the dance floor toward the end of the night with Complete Music! Oh and can't forget the cute indoor s'more making table for dessert! Congrats to this happy couple... hope you guys are enjoying Alaska honeymoon. :)
I photographed Robi and Jacob's wedding last weekend on January 2nd, 2016 at Mont Lamm Events. It was a quite the cold day, maybe 5-10 degrees out, and they braved some photos to capture the snowy and sunny day we had! The venue was beautiful inside, so we had no problems doing photos indoors as well. They had a cute hot chocolate bar and donuts from Casual Friday Donuts. It was the perfect cozy winter afternoon wedding! And what a BEAUTIFUL bride!
Melissa and Brandon most likely got the last HOT day of summer last weekend on September 12th. Their wedding was at Big Barn Brewery on Greenbluff. The hops growing makes for a fun background along with capturing the evening sunset light in the fields and orchard. They had the cutest photobooth called Happy Camper Photobooth! Melissa was always smiling and such a beautiful bride... and I think by the end she was excited for her mystery honeymoon location the next day! View their slideshow below...
MacKenzie and Ben held their wedding at Camden Ranch in Elk, WA on August 15th. This was my first time photographing at Camden Ranch, which features a large barn, beautiful outdoor ceremony/gazebo area and surrounded by a Christmas tree farm. It was a gorgeous day for them and it was fun to be there to capture their special day! It's crazy to think I photographed MacKenzie as a flower girl in a wedding in 2005... 10 years ago! Now all grown up and beautiful! To see more of their images view the slideshow below...
Olivia and Johnny held their ceremony and reception at Chateau Rive on August 14th. A perfect day getting ready at The Davenport, doing photos downtown (on a not too hot day!), with outdoor ceremony and indoor gorgeously decorated and lit up Chateau Rive. Justin with Amp'd Entertainment was there to keep the reception exciting and did an amazing job setting the mood and lighting for the party. And I don't think Olivia could have been more stunning on her wedding day, such a beautiful couple! I met with them over a year ago to talk about their big day, it's hard to believe it has already came and went. So happy I was there to capture it for them. It was so much fun photographing RyAnn and Ryan's wedding on Saturday at Red Barn Farms. Such an easy going couple who were just excited to get married to each other! They've dated since High School and then more recently long separations due to work and school, so they were both very happy for this day. Everywhere I turned there were cute little signs and decorations... I sure hope I didn't miss any! They had a photo booth that was busy non stop and it was also great to work with Ryan with Ferguson Films. There was no shortage of memories being captured at this one... and such a beautiful bride! I also must say one of the funniest moments that has ever happened to me was luckily witnessed by few, but I will say as wind caught hold of one of the videographer's paper plates at dinner it somehow went straight across the table and stuck flat to my face (food side). It didn't come off until I took it off. I don't think any guests saw.... and no pictures captured, but we had a good laugh!
Megan and James were married on August 1st outside of Grand Coulee Dam on family's property. It was a simple outdoor country ceremony and reception with no shortage of perfect decor. Complete Music and Long Horn Barbecue also came up from Spokane for the party. I had an easy time enjoying my day photographing these two and was happy to share my own anniversary with them as well! See more images in slideshow below...
Melody and Cameron got their good luck rain on their wedding day this past weekend, and it didn't even effect their wedding since it cleared up right in time for photos and ceremony. My first time shooting at Commellini Estate and there are so many fun little spots there... I didn't even get to use them all. Beautiful ceremony even with a fawn hanging out in the trees across the creek for guests to enjoy as they waited for ceremony to start. They had a big group of friends and family to dance the night away with - all the way to the end of the night. Pretty fun time for all! See more in their slideshow...
