Spokane Wedding Photographer / Leah and Michael at The Davenport Hotel

Leah and Michael were married at Central Lutheran Church with a reception at The Davenport Hotel on July 26th. Planning the wedding from across the state and there were no details missed! Amazing day! Leah planned a big surprise for Michael with Butch T. Cougar (WSU mascot) arriving to start the party off. He stayed and danced with the crowd and posed for pictures. I haven't seen a mascot at a wedding before, that was a first! This was a fun party and a true celebration of a couple uniting! Leah and Michael's honeymoon this week is traveling to Yale University to start their next journey, congrats!!!

Leah and Rob were married on July 25th in Look Lake, WA at a private residence. This is the 3rd wedding in Rob's family that I've photographed and love that I get to see their family expand and welcome Leah. There is no doubt this couple is very much in love and have so many people that love them! They are already on the right track with 3 kids, a beautiful family! Congrats you two! Hayden Lake Wedding Photographer / Charla and Bill at The Clark House

Charla and Bill held there wedding at the beautiful Clark House in Hayden Lake, ID on July 14th. An early afternoon wedding followed by lunch surrounded by their closest friends. Charla and Bill have a fun story... they met 7 years ago walking their dogs, but when their dogs decided not to get along at the park they decided to just wave at each other from afar. Years went by and they both wondered about the other. A year ago they met again in a gym class and now they are husband and wife! It's funny how things work out. Spokane Photography Studio / New Studio Location

Most of you know that I have recently moved! I spent the month of March moving out of my big commercial studio space that I was in for 6 years and spent the month of April under construction and moving into my home studio. My husband and I bought our house the beginning of 2013 knowing that we were looking for a location and space that I could work from... simplifying our lives and being able to jump into my office much quicker was becoming a dream! I have spent the last 3 months now working from and enjoying my nearby work space and I finally took some time to take a few photos of it! Here is my sitting/viewing area, my shooting space and prop wall...

Amanda and Josh celebrated their wedding ceremony and reception at The Davenport Hotel on July 12, 2014. It's been a hot weekend, so everyone was happy to spend most of the day inside! Amanda did such a good job planning every detail of this day and everything went PERFECTLY! I can't think of one thing that could've been changed to make this day any better for them. Spokane Wedding Photographer / Courtney and Tony at Spokane Club and Redeemer Lutheran Church

Courtney and Tony weren't just High School sweethearts, but they even went to Preschool together and at the same church they were married in. How cute is that! We started the day off at Jaazz Hair Salon and The Davenport Hotel before getting in their A Little Class Limo. After taking photos downtown we headed to the Valley to Redeemer Lutheran Church for the ceremony and then back downtown to the Spokane Club for the reception. Everyone had a great time! I think the highlight of their day (besides getting married) was their limo stop to get Slurpies on the way to the ceremony!

Spokane Wedding Photographer / Melissa and David at Northern Quest Casino

Melissa and David held their wedding ceremony and reception at Northern Quest Casino on Saturday, June 21st. After all the rainy weather we had last week it turned out to be the perfect day for it! We went to a nearby private garden, owned by a friend of theirs, for some photos which gave us a nice variety along with the fabulous Casino. David is also a photographer, so he knew it would give us some nice options. I'm always honored when a photographer decides to have me capture their special day! Melissa and David are pretty much the nicest couple you'll ever meet! Congratulations you two!!!

Spokane Engagement Photographer / Caitlyn and Matt

Caitlyn and Matt got engaged in October and booked their session in the perfect amount of time to snag some fall colors! We did these in early November at Finch Arboretum and downtown Spokane. We started off with enough rain to require an umbrella, but ended up being a great day! They were naturals with the camera, looking forward to their wedding this summer!

I met Amanda and Josh at Finch Arboretum to start with the fall colors and then we headed downtown for some more urban looks. We've had some amazing sunny days lately and I'm not complaining when I can capture the sunshine like this! It's fun to play with shadows too!

Priest Lake Engagement Photographer / Melissa and David

It was so fun incorporating a location that means so much and where this girl grew up. Priest Lake is a place Melissa's family gathers in the summer and spends a lot of time on their boats. I always encourage my clients to think of a place or a thing that is important to them and add that into their session, making it that much more memorable. They even brought coffee cups from their one and only favorite coffee stand on the south hill, Cool Beans! THAT is customer loyalty! David is also a photographer, for Kalispel Tribe of Indians, and I'm always extra honored to be chosen to capture another photographer's wedding! Looking forward to their wedding in 2014.

Fun senior shoot with beautiful Jenny! Tons of studio, urban, lake and natural settings were all accomplished in this session! We even incorporated some sports that her life revolves around. At this point I'm not sure how she won't have hundreds of images to weed through, but I'm going to do my best at narrowing them down!

Spokane Newborn Photographer / In Home Baby Session

You might wonder what type of photos you'd get if I go to your house to take photos of your little one. Of course every home is different, so it gives me some unique opportunities to use the nursery, living room or your bedroom as backdrops. I also am able to bring some things with me to capture baby alone, similar to what I'd do in studio. A big window is always helpful, but I have portable lights I can set up as well. The following slideshow shows a sample of an in home newborn session, showing almost all the images the client sees... they saw a bit more due to different expressions they may prefer over others. There are plenty to choose from to make sure everyone is happy and I didn't miss anything along with being able to make a nice album if wanted. All final images shown are fully edited to show the end result before client views them. I like to showcase a handful in black and white to show how those look, but I keep the color version in case you prefer that. Of course, every session is unique, but I have never shown more than a few images in a blog post from each session and thought it would be helpful for you to see all the images from this type of session...

... As you can see, my job is fun when I can look at a sweet face like that! :)

Spokane Wedding Photographer / Jessica and Cole at Beacon Hill

Jessica and Cole's wedding at Beacon Hill was beautifully put together thanks to some amazing vendors. Even with these two planning from out of town and with a shorter six month engagement. This couple didn't want to waste any time tying the knot, they just knew and are so in love! Jessica's make-up was flawless and done by the reputable The Make-Up Studio. Terri with Just Roses did all the flowers, and lots of flowers! Beacon Hill's food was incredible, as usual, but this was really really good!
