Melissa and Brandon most likely got the last HOT day of summer last weekend on September 12th. Their wedding was at Big Barn Brewery on Greenbluff. The hops growing makes for a fun background along with capturing the evening sunset light in the fields and orchard. They had the cutest photobooth called Happy Camper Photobooth! Melissa was always smiling and such a beautiful bride... and I think by the end she was excited for her mystery honeymoon location the next day!

Spokane Wedding Photographer / Megan and David at Chateau Rive
Megan and David got married at Chateau Rive on September 6th. It was a rainy day, but we made it through photos with some sprinkles and then no rain during the outdoor ceremony for the guests, woo hoo! Megan and David planned their wedding from California and her family that lives in Spokane did an amazing job putting all the ideas in place for it to come together. They even surprised them with a horse drawn carriage ride (by Rocking K Ranch) through Riverfront Park to The Davenport Hotel at the end of night! I photographed Megan's sister's wedding 5 years ago, so it was great to work with their family again.

Spokane Wedding Photographer / MacKenzie and Ben at Camden Ranch
MacKenzie and Ben held their wedding at Camden Ranch in Elk, WA on August 15th. This was my first time photographing at Camden Ranch, which features a large barn, beautiful outdoor ceremony/gazebo area and surrounded by a Christmas tree farm. It was a gorgeous day for them and it was fun to be there to capture their special day! It's crazy to think I photographed MacKenzie as a flower girl in a wedding in 2005... 10 years ago! Now all grown up and beautiful!

Spokane Wedding Photographer / Olivia and Johnny at Chateau Rive
Olivia and Johnny held their ceremony and reception at Chateau Rive on August 14th. A perfect day getting ready at The Davenport, doing photos downtown (on a not too hot day!), with outdoor ceremony and indoor gorgeously decorated and lit up Chateau Rive. Justin with Amp'd Entertainment was there to keep the reception exciting and did an amazing job setting the mood and lighting for the party. And I don't think Olivia could have been more stunning on her wedding day, such a beautiful couple! I met with them over a year ago to talk about their big day, it's hard to believe it has already came and went. So happy I was there to capture it for them.

Colton, WA Wedding Photographer / RyAnn and Ryan at Red Barn Farms
It was so much fun photographing RyAnn and Ryan's wedding on Saturday at Red Barn Farms. Such an easy going couple who were just excited to get married to each other! They've dated since High School and then more recently long separations due to work and school, so they were both very happy for this day. Everywhere I turned there were cute little signs and decorations... I sure hope I didn't miss any! They had a photo booth that was busy non stop and it was also great to work with Ryan with Ferguson Films. There was no shortage of memories being captured at this one... and such a beautiful bride! I also must say one of the funniest moments that has ever happened to me was luckily witnessed by few, but I will say as wind caught hold of one of the videographer's paper plates at dinner it somehow went straight across the table and stuck flat to my face (food side). It didn't come off until I took it off. I don't think any guests saw.... and no pictures captured, but we had a good laugh!
Grand Coulee Wedding Photographer / Megan and James
Megan and James were married on August 1st outside of Grand Coulee Dam on family's property. It was a simple outdoor country ceremony and reception with no shortage of perfect decor. Complete Music and Long Horn Barbecue also came up from Spokane for the party. I had an easy time enjoying my day photographing these two and was happy to share my own anniversary with them as well!

Spokane Senior Photographer / Mackinzi
My step-daughter, Mackinzi, is going to be a senior this fall, which means doing senior photos! So much has happened in the last 10 years that I've known her, it has flown by so fast, but seeing her go from a goofy little girl to this gorgeous girl (yet still goofy) is just crazy! Even though I took these photos I must say some of them I can't believe they are her. Always a beautiful smile and having fun! I couldn't ask for a better step-daughter and easy teenager to have around. Loved that I was able to capture these for you Mackinzi and I love you bunches! I hope these images represent one of the best years of your life ahead of you.
Spokane Wedding Photographer / Melody and Cameron at Commellini Estate
Melody and Cameron got their good luck rain on their wedding day this past weekend, and it didn't even effect their wedding since it cleared up right in time for photos and ceremony. My first time shooting at Commellini Estate and there are so many fun little spots there... I didn't even get to use them all. Beautiful ceremony even with a fawn hanging out in the trees across the creek for guests to enjoy as they waited for ceremony to start. They had a big group of friends and family to dance the night away with - all the way to the end of the night. Pretty fun time for all!

Montana Wedding Photographer / Elena and Joey at Bitterroot Barn in Corvallis, MT
Such a fun day (and week) for these two! Elena grew up in Montana, but lives in Boston where she met Joey. They had a busy week with friends and family for their "destination" wedding back in Elena's hometown. A beautiful setting with fields, dirt roads, barns and surrounded by mountains. In Elena's words "Truly was the best day of my life!". I never met Elena and Joey before their wedding, but we do share a best friend (and bridesmaid), and I feel lucky I was trusted to capture this day for them and be such a big part of it! I had so much fun I barely noticed the triple digit temps! :)

Spokane Wedding Photographer / Tahney and Trevor
Tahney and Trevor's wedding on June 13th was held at her grandparent's beautiful home, offering a perfect outdoor setting. No details missed even with quick planning due to military orders. They had a great day with friends and family! Now just a few days after their wedding they are headed to Hawaii to live! Blessings on your move and next chapter together!
Coeur d'Alene Wedding Photographer / Amelia and Ray at CDA Resort
Amelia and Ray were coming up for the Coeur d'Alene Marathon this weekend from Arizona and decided why not get married in this beautiful area! It was just the two of them and these are just a few images from the hour we spent together along with their short ceremony by Angie with Angelic Weddings. How simple and beautiful! I hope you both did well on your first run as a married couple the following day too!!!
Spokane Wedding Photographer / Melanie and JW
Since I'm posting Melanie and JW's wedding photos from this weekend I realized I have been so bad on my blog that I never even posted their engagement session last fall!!! So here is one of those at least...
I have been better at posting 'most' recent sessions on my facebook page, but as summer comes there will be more weddings on the blog as well!
So "3-2-1 blast off" as they say for their 3/21 wedding, love that! This couple truly has a lot to look forward to in building their lives together and it's obvious they are very excited for it. It was fun hanging out with them and their family and friends all day. Turned out several of their friends are my friends as well, so it was extra fun running into people.
As you can see Melanie was a beautiful bride! Bouquet/flowers gorgeous by Esther with Special Touch. The ceremony was at Summit Church, with the reception at The Lincoln Center, which was decorated amazingly! The day couldn't have gone any better... Melanie did an amazing job planning!!! :) Congrats to you both! I am so happy for you guys to start a new chapter of your lives together!

Beautiful colors for MacKenzie and Ben's engagement session. Looking forward to their wedding next summer! Fun note: In 2005 I took photos at a wedding that they were both in! Their wedding will be the same month 10 years later!

Spokane Wedding Photographer / Caitlyn and Matthew at Arbor Crest
Caitlyn and Matthew held their wedding on September 5, 2014 at Arbor Crest Winery. One of my favorite venues that I haven't been to in awhile! Such a cute couple, they are undoubtedly best friends and in love! Caitlyn has a contagious smile and I've had fun glancing back at them over the last few days and seeing how their photos turned out! Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Harrop (Hair-up)! :) I hope you two are enjoying your cruise!

Spokane Wedding Photographer / Monica and Nico at Mrs. Kalin's Barn
This couple had a beautiful wedding on Greenbluff on August 23rd, 2014. Mrs. Kalin's Barn offers a great venue for an outdoor ceremony and a covered outdoor reception. I was excited to finally have a wedding there! Monica and Nico are such a great couple and perfect together. Nico's mom, Melissa (and my hair dresser), did SO much putting this wedding together (I know from her telling about her projects over the last year). She made just about every decoration and detail herself, ran around putting it all together that day, and even did Monica's hair and make-up of course. There were no details left out. Simply gorgeous day for her son and her new daughter-in-law that they love GREATLY! There was no dry eye during the speeches at this one. Myself, even the caterers (Just a Couple of Moms), I heard had to wipe some happy tears for this couple. Happy endings are the best!

Spokane Wedding Photographer / Alexx and Derek at Castle Vineyards
Alexx and Derek held their wedding at Castle Vineyards in Deer Park on August 22, 2014. This was the last, but not least, wedding for the 4 siblings in Derek's family... one of those also being just this past July! It has been so fun doing all their weddings and watching this family grow with not only spouses, but all the many babies. Even Derek's twin sister couldn't make it to the wedding being she just had her 3rd baby! (Congrats Dani and Arlan!). Alexx and Derek's wedding was wonderful all together, even through a little bit of rain, but the obvious highlight was their helicopter getaway that Derek completely surprised Alexx with. I just loved her reaction! Such an amazing day and evening they had.

Spokane Wedding Photographer / Abbie and Joey in Nine Mile Falls
Abbie and Joey held their wedding on August 2nd at Joey's parent's home, the house he grew up in. They had the perfect place for it! My husband and Joey have known each other their whole lives, they are pretty much brothers! It's exciting to see how Abbie makes Joey so happy, especially on this special day it was pretty obvious. Abbie was beautiful of course. My daughter is still talking about the princess in the white dress she saw last weekend! Super happy this day has finally came for you guys, with a future of happiness ahead, congratulations!!!

Spokane Wedding Photographer / Bree and Anthony in Ione, WA
What an amazing 2 day event for this couple! Bree and Anthony held their wedding vow ceremony in Ione, Washington on August 1st with their families followed by a reception in Spokane at The Service Station the next day with their friends. I didn't start off the wedding day with the normal groomsmen getting ready scene, but instead we did photos of the boys with guns! Something Anthony knows well and the guys enjoyed! After Bree was dressed we went right into the ceremony, it was beautiful down by the water. The pastor started off singing about how they met and fell in love to the song Hallelujah with the guests joining in on the chorus... so fun and creative! I also loved that they wrote each other letters about why they fell in love and locked it in a box for them to read on their 10 year anniversary (or if they are having conflict in their marriage as a reminder). I haven't seen this often and it's something I also did at my wedding... our's is still locked in the box and Bree and Anothony's wedding was also my 6 year anniversary! I was so happy to share my anniversary with this amazing couple at such a beautiful location. Bree did an amazing job with every detail. A lot of well spent time on Pinterest! On day 2 at The Service Station it was all about having a good time. Anthony's rock band from Young Life, Panda-moan-e-um, played for the crowd and started the party. There was tons of talent here between his entire band to a beat boxer and a solo-artist who wrote a song for Bree, and not to mention the guests singing and dancing.
Day 2:
Do you notice the heart shadow someone is making... had no idea until I looked back through the photos!
The slideshow below is of their wedding vow ceremony day. I put this together the night of/morning after, so it could be played at their reception the following day! Check it out...
